Elaine should have taken her father’s advice to stay well
clear of Robert Sugden. Little does she know she is about to embark
on a journey from hell when she agrees to go for a drive with him.
Randy Robert tries it on one too many times, upsetting Elaine who
tells him to keep his hands to himself. Clearly not concentrating
on the road, miffed Robert loses control and the car collides with
a nearby tree, before coming to a halt.
Moments later terrified Robert comes around to find Elaine unconscious
in the passenger seat. Unsure whether she is dead or alive, Robert
panics as he realises he may have just killed his girlfriend. But
Elaine’s life isn’t the only thing on Robert’s
mind, as he selfishly worries that he will lose his licence and
livelihood if the authorities find out he was responsible for the
crash.
In a state of shock Robert staggers from the car and moves Elaine
from the passenger seat, placing her behind the wheel, to give
the impression she was driving. As he waits for the ambulance,
Robert tries to compose himself. Elaine’s life hangs in the
balance as he prepares to lie to the police and her family about
who was driving.

Episode #3549
Eddie goes as white as a sheet when he sees a familiar face in
the village. Garry, his boss, has decided to make a personal appearance
and he is convinced he is for the chop. But Garry has shown up
to congratulate his top employee and personally awards him the
title of Salesman of the Month.
Garry is determined to turn Emmerdale into an advertising campaign,
seeing as the whole village will soon be kitted out with double-glazing.
On the edge of a nervous breakdown, Eddie decides it is time to
do a runner. Unfortunately, Bob catches his brother trying to flee
the village and starts asking questions. As the truth unfolds,
Bob berates him for being so stupid. But loyal Bob firmly stands
by his brother, as he spots a cancellation clause in the contract
and tells him he has a master plan to get him out of the mess.
Meanwhile, Ashley refuses to comment on his relationship with
Louise and ignores the speculation from the gossips - which makes
them more intrigued! Convinced their relationship is purely platonic,
Louise and Ashley enjoy winding up the locals and fully intend
to keep them talking.

Later in the Woolpack, the cheeky couple certainly give the coven
an eyeful as Ashley kisses Louise in full view of everyone. They
joke that the kiss should give them some new material to gossip
over!
Money conscious Katie and Andy decide that they should have something
positive to work towards, not just always being worried about the
farm. They decide to put some money aside for their wedding and
set a date for the New Year.
