Ex-Corrie star moves to Emmerdale
Patsy Kensit's arrived in Emmerdale, now veteran actress Sherrie Hewson
is also set to grace the long running series.
The latter is no stranger to soapland of course, having played Maureen
Holdsworth in Coronation Street and the catty Virginia Raven in Crossroads.
In June she arrives in the much-loved Yorkshire village as Lesley Meredith,
the disapproving mother of fishmonger Simon (Dale Meeks).
"
I'm very excited," she told Pure Soap.
" I can't wait to film my scenes in Emmerdale and I am really looking forward
to meeting the cast and crew."
An Emmerdale spokesperson added: "Lesley takes an instant dislike
to Nicola so sparks look set to fly when she visits her son Simon next
month."
It's not the first time Sherrie has worked with Patsy.
In 1979 they both appeared in the Harrison Ford movie Hanover Street and
the latter was delighted when he invited her out to dinner.
However, her jaw dropped when she arrived at the restaurant and it turned
out Ford had invited the rest of the female cast as well
