Braemar (III), Queen Mary 2 & Queen Elizabeth 2
What a day the 16th April 2005 was.  It was very busy for the departures of the Queens.  A lot of people went by the article in the paper saying they would sail at 5pm rather than the shipping movements.  QM2 was always 6pm but QE2 had been changed from 5pm to 6.30pm.  She was in 38/9 like she should be while QM2 was in 106.  Fred.Olsen's 19,089grt 1993-built Braemar (formerly Crown Cruise Lines' Crown Dynasty before being chartered to Cunard as Cunard Crown Dynasty until 1997, Majesty Cruise Line as Crown Majesty for one season, Norwegian Cruise Line as Norwegian Dynasty until 2001 when she was sold to Fred Olsen Cruise Line) was starboard side in 101 and leaving first.
Braemar left twenty minutes late, turned around on the spot  then passed QE2 but both were silent.
