Queen Mary 2 Maiden Voyage
The much anticipated maiden voyage to Fort Lauderdale until she returned in May of what was the largest passenger ship in the world on the 12th January 2004 went with a hitch - people brought too much luggage.  Originally due to sail at 5.30pm she cast off an hour late while fireworks began about half an hour later.
